Endorsement form OR Assignment transferring rights from Inventor(s) to Applicant The worldwide assignment can be filed in place of Endorsement Form by the True & First Inventors, if the same is in original and notarized by notary public. Copy of US recorded assignment would not suffice the requirement.

Certified priority document/Verified English translation of priority document (along with translation certificate) Within 3 months from date of filing the application in Bangladesh (non-extendable).

Please note that the certified English translation of the priority document should be notarized by notary public/Commissioner of Oath.

(Certified copy of priority document -If the priority document is not filed within 3 months from filing date, the Examiner may issue office action citing that the application  cannot be treated as a priority application as per the law. Nothing can be done in this regard such as late filing after 3 months with penalty. We may submit a copy of the priority document with the Patent Office after 3 months, this depends on the view of the Examiner sometimes.)

Detailed Particulars of Foreign Applications Advisable to file as soon as information is available.
Request for examination Within 36 months from the date of filing.

If necessary, the said period (36 months) can be extended by three (3) month, however prior to the expiry of the said period, a request for an extension of period with prescribed fee must be submitted to the request.

  5. Date of first use of the mark in Bangladesh
